Who is our Joomla course for?

Our Intensive One Day Joomla Training Course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn and grasp  the mechanics and the concept of Joomla CMS software and use it to create a professional looking website.

There is absolutely no need for PHP or any other computer language knowledge from  yourself in order to get started with Joomla.

If you are already experienced with WordPress and want to learn Joomla as well, then this course would be very beneficial to you.

If you are considering a new website but want to be in control of it without the need of using the services of a website developer, then this is certainly the course for you to consider. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Joomla  or coding to attend and benefit greatly from this course.

There is a lot of info to take in one day,  so we cover the essentials that you can certainly take away with you for you to use to create a website using Joomla.  Our course will give you the knowledge and practical skills needed to get started effectively and confidently. All you have to do after the course is familiarise yourself with what we show you.

• Installing Joomla from scratch, including manual and auto installation
• Setting the basics up ready for development after installation
• Getting some structure on your website
• Creating pages, how to include articles or info,  including links, menus and contact forms
• How to insert or embed media files, videos and images
• Styling and tweaking the software template and page styling to suit your sites visual needs
• Understanding components, modules and plugins – what are they and how they work within Joomla
• Recommended components, modules and plugins to consider
• How to find Joomla components, modules and plugins online
• How to tweak modules, plugins and components to suit your needs
• Creating users and allowing visitors to join your mailing lists
• Optimising your Joomla website for the search engines  (SEO)
• Eventually creating a basic yet professional looking website that works and allows you to continue developing , practicing and improving your Joomla skills and knowledge
